TERMS & CONDITIONS

BOOKING & DEPOSITS

  • By booking a charter with Oilfield Outkasts Charters, the customer shall be deemed to have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.
  • You’ve scheduled an activity that is dependent on good weather. Because of this, we recommend booking at a time when you can be flexible. It’s good to have an alternate time prepared in case of weather changes. This is Texas, after all.
  • All charters require a 20% deposit.
  • Our charter prices include fuel, bait, tackle, and fish cleaning.  You are responsible for providing your fishing license and drinks/food. The State of Texas does not allow the charter to cover your license.
  • The address of your departure location will be provided in your booking confirmation email.

GRATUITY

  • Tipping the crew is customary at 20%.
  • Charters may have 2 crew members – a Captain and a Deckhand. If your group is small enough, the Captain may serve as both, but the job of the Deckhand will be done.  The Deckhand’s job is to assist you in catching fish. They are there to do things such as bait hooks, provide you with the right tackle for the job, teach you what to do to catch fish, bring your fish into the boat for you, and if necessary, assist you with reeling if you need help. *YOUR DECKHAND’S PAY IS MADE UP ENTIRELY OF TIPS*. Please be prepared to contribute to the pay of this critical crew member.
  • It is also acceptable to tip the Captain, in addition to the Deckhand, if you feel that he or she earned it. The Captain is the crew member responsible for your safety and for finding the fish in the water.

REFUNDS AND CANCELATIONS

  • All charters canceled at least 7 days in advance are eligible to a refund of deposit paid. Deposits for charters canceled less than 7 days before the trip date are not refundable, but do not expire and can be used on a future charter.
  • If your charter is canceled due to bad weather or boat malfunction, your deposit can be refunded or rolled over to a new date.
  • If you arrive on the day of your trip with less people in your group than you booked for, you will be charged the price of the trip that you booked. We understand that things happen. Notify us at least the day before if your group size changes so that we can plan accordingly.
  • Any payments made, and eligible for refund, are not refundable after 6 months.
  • Please do not prepay in full. A deposit holds the boat for you and the balance of the trip is due on the day of the trip. Bookings that are pre-paid in full are non-refundable, but your payments are good for a trip for any future date.
  • In all instances of cancelation within the policy, we will offer you the option to reschedule.

CHARTER DURATION/LENGTH

  • We fish year round, every day of the week, holidays and everything.
  • In some cases, we will allow charter length to be extended at an additional cost. You can reserve this right in advance at the time of booking, or discuss it with your Captain before or during the trip.
  • If you choose to shorten your charter length, the price of the charter will not be discounted. For this reason, we strongly recommend doing what’s necessary to prevent seasickness, sunburn, heat exhaustion, etc. We advise against excessive alcohol consumption before and during your charter. If we have to take the boat back to the dock to drop off a passenger from your charter because of something that *could have been prevented*, we will also charge you for the extra fuel used to do so.

ALCOHOL & SMOKING

  • Alcohol consumption in moderation or smoking on board is not prohibited except when interfering with the safety or the enjoyment of other passengers.  If either of these causes a safety concern, we reserve the right to end your trip early with no discount or refund.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Salt water fishing licenses are required for every passenger unless they meet the exemptions set by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Passengers are required to obtain their own license as Texas does not allow us to cover your license under charter.
  • We strictly follow State and Federal laws for catch limits.
  • You may be charged for any damage you cause to the boat, or any rods and reels that you damage or lose overboard because you didn’t follow crew instruction and improperly used the equipment. You are not liable for any normal wear and tear.
  • You must follow the crew’s instructions at all times while onboard. Our primary concern is the safety of the humans.
  • You’ll be required to sign a liability waiver before fishing with us. Refusal to sign the waiver will result in your charter being canceled without a refund.
  • Oilfield Outkasts reserves the right to review and change these terms, conditions, and policies at any time.
