We had some brand new saltwater anglers on the boat! Some from Montana, and some from Oklahoma, but no salt water near either of them! Never know how the first time will go, but they did great.

They hooked into a ray and fought it for an hour, while they caught up some Bull Reds. That ray put on a show for them, breaching during the fight. The little guy was a bit nervous, but Capt Dylan offered him some encouragement by letting him know that it was illegal to go on the fishing boat and not reel in the fish (tiny white lies are ok, right?) And, they got to see some dolphins up close and personal next to the boat.

The Wassers returned again this year, and got themselves a place on the Unicorn Board with a 26lb Jack Crevalle, beating out Brightman's 23.

If you don't know about our Black Gold Fishing Bonanza, it's an Oilfield Outkasts only tournament that we do every year for our clients. We have a main board with nine categories and a side board for "Unicorns" (or anything not on the main board). We run it through October 31st. Everyone left on the board at that time gets put into a drawing for a free trip!

So...when you come fishing with us, not only do you have a chance to catch something you've never caught before, but you also have a chance to win a free trip.

When we started fishing for a living in 2016 (out of necessity after Capt Rodney was laid off from the oilfield), all of the trips we booked were Shared trips. Singles, or doubles/couples, would pay for their spot(s) and fish with people they didn't know. We couldn't book a private trip because no one knew us!

Some of those people went on to become friends and come back to see us every year or so. We're humbled every time we see them. If you're one of our OGs, drop a comment and say 👋 We see you lurking 👀😅

We had the pleasure of taking these 4 on a shared trip. One couple and two singles, some new and some seasoned. They were so much fun to fish with, and everyone got along great because they all had something in common - THEY LOVE FISHING.

We catch fish every day, but this day...we caught feels.

If you follow us, you know that we understand that our real job is not fishing, it's helping you make memories. And we feel like we've done our job when you feel like a friend when you leave.

Frank booked a trip and thought he might be the only one fishing. But then his crew showed up. It was his first time offshore, but he was instantly hooked. He stayed a while after his charter talking to Capt Dylan, and that's a dangerous thing if you like offshore fishing. Thers no doubt that Frank and Dylan will be catching BIG fish in the future.

The Freeman family did their research before booking a charter, and chose us because Cody is an Oilfield brother. Capt Rodney got to take this family fishing and share a few drinks with them afterward.

Then we did something we don't normally do. What we call a "memorial" trip. We tried to say no, but after a few weeks of searching for other boats to help this group, they came back around to us as their only option. The matriarch of the family passed last year, and her wish was for the family to remember her from the water. It was a beautiful memorial and the water was so blue near shore. Just for her.

Thank you to all three groups for choosing us to help you make memories. We are so honored.
